I’m Eva. I love traveling and I love writing. In 2015, I decided to combine these two passion of mine into a travel blog called Trevallog.

I had a few purposes when I started the blog:

  • I want to write stories about my travel so that I’ll remember them when I grow old
  • I want to help people who are planning to visit the places that I visited because I understood how headache-inducing trip planning is
  • And I also want to monetize my blog because I’ve always wanted to create a business from scratch (like what my parents did).

In the beginning of my blogging journey, I treated my blog like a travel diary. I wrote about what I do, what I eat and where I go when I’m on a vacation. While I got to fulfill my first purpose, apparently my writing style was not enough to fulfill my second and third purposes. My posts were not helping people; there were barely any traffic to my site.

My blogging journey is far from smooth. I stumbled on rocks after rocks. But because I had the endurance of a high tensile steel encased in high strength concrete (sorry I can’t help it, I’m a civil engineer!), I kept going on. Eventually I started gaining traction in my third year of blogging.

I started this site, Fearless & Limitless, in my fifth year of blogging. During the infamous 2020 worldwide quarantine, I was working from home for more than 4 months. During those times of deep contemplation, I suddenly had the epiphany that I want to share my blogging journey with the world.

I want to inspire and help aspiring bloggers to go from having no blog at all to running a blog that gives them a sense of purpose.

I want to share my journey from having a blog with no traction, to a blog that is visited my thousands of people a month.

I’m not here to teach you how to make 6 figure income from your blog, because I believe money should not be THE reason you start a blog. I will, however, share strategies and mindset that I personally use to make money from my blog.

I’m not here to teach you about the technical skills of blogging because I believe you can simply google them and get satisfactory answers. I will, however, share the soft skills that are required to run a meaningful blog.

Here are the topics that I will write on this blog:

  • My own blogging journey
  • Review of tools that I personally use
  • Blogging mindset
  • Blogging strategies
  • Debunking blogging myths
  • Income report

I think the people who will benefit from this blog are:

  • those who are blogging for the long term (more than 3 years), not those who are seeking quick gain
  • those who love something so much that it hurts them not to blog about it
  • those who want to put in long hours, not just 2 to 5 hours a week
